The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today. The board will discuss and take possible action  on a special event application from Thrive Knoxville regarding this year’s Living Windows event, and a Class C Liquor License refund request from Elk Rock Event Center. The board will consider a resolution amending Section 5.5 of the 28E Agreement with the South Central IOWA Cedar Creek Watershed Management Authority. They will consider a resolution regarding an agreement between Marion County, the Iowa Department of Transportation and the City of Knoxville for improvements to the Highway 14/Weiler Drive intersection, and hold a health insurance discussion as well as give Board of Supervisor updates. Following the regular meeting the board will hold two closed sessions with the first session to discuss the purchase or sale of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property. And the second session to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will be held inside the Marion County Courthouse.
