The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Wednesday morning. The board approved the election canvass of the November 5th election in a 2-1 vote with board chair Crystal McIntyre voting against. The board also approved a request from the Indianola Chamber of Commerce to use the fencing on the square for the holiday event in December. After the official action, the board held a discussion on how to move forward on the Warren County Justice Center project.

Among many other issues discussed, Supervisor Aaron DeKock stated that the board can take a re-offering premium on the current bonds to make up the difference on the courthouse funding, while McIntyre stated she would prefer the building to be built off the downtown Indianola square as the square location is not large enough for a growing county. No official action was taken on the project, as the new bids for the building will be received in early 2020.
