The Pleasantville football team entered the 2019 season coming off their first season missing the playoffs since 2014. In Mack Jorth’s second season as Head Coach, the Trojans had aspirations to get back to the playoffs and potentially win the district. Pleasantville faced some adversity in the latter half of the season and finished 5-4, but Jorth says that his program made strides and continued to build a strong culture within the program.
The Trojans went 3-1 in non-district play, but went 2-3 in district play with the wins bookending the district slate. Despite not making the playoffs, it is always a positive to end the season with a win, and Pleasantville did just that with a 47-0 triumph over Woodward Academy on Senior Night. 11 seniors will depart the program after graduation.
