Four members of the Pella Cross Country teams earned Academic All-State honors from the Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association. Thomas Gaul, Caroline McMartin, Ellie Roorda, and Tirzah Wittenberg all were recognized for their performance in the classroom, marking the 15th consecutive season a Pella athlete has been selected. Those who qualify must be a senior with a 3.8 GPA with a 28 or higher on the ACT, and must be a state coed meet qualifier or place in the top 30 at a state qualifying meet.
