A Hamilton man was arrested Thursday following the report of a theft in the 1200 block of Illinois Drive in Knoxville. According to court documents law enforcement officers responded to a report of a stolen utility trailer that had been taken sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday evening officers were called back to the location for the report of a suspicious vehicle on the property. When officers arrived they found 41-year-old Jeremy Johnson in the vehicle. During the course of the investigation Johnson admitted to taken the trailer the previous evening and concealing it at another property, and admitted to taking a pickup toolbox from the property. The trailer was located at the property in which Johnson stated and the toolbox was recovered in the truck in which Johnson was in. Johnson was arrested and charged with theft 2nd degree, a class D felony.
