Residents throughout Marion County and South Central Iowa came out to the Knoxville Performing Arts Center to see the Knoxville Area Community Theatre, in partnership with the Knoxville School District, perform the Disney-renowned musical Mary Poppins. Five shows were performed Thursday through Sunday and featured a cast made up of actors as young as nine and as old as 60 that helped tell the tale of a family going through difficulties, needing help to actually become a family. The children and the Nanny, Mary Poppins embark on a series of fantastical adventures as the children try to pass on some of their nanny’s sunny attitude to their preoccupied parents.
