The Central College women’s basketball team hit the road for the second time in three days, traveling to Mankato, Minn. to take on Bethany Lutheran. The Dutch were hot out of the gate, jumping out to a 13-2 lead. Central took a 39-29 lead into halftime, and broke the game wide open in the third, cruising to an 81-54 win.

It was a fantastic shooting night for the Dutch, as they shot 57.1 percent from the field. Meanwhile, the defense was stingy, holding the Vikings to just 18.8 percent from the field. The Dutch had three players score in double figures, led by freshman Kelsea Hurley with a career-high 23.

Central improves to 4-1 on the season. It’s a quick turnaround for the Dutch, as they’ll be back in action tonight, hosting Iowa Wesleyan. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. inside P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
