One week into practice and the pieces are starting to come together for the Knoxville boys basketball squad. The Panthers are coming off an 8-14 season last year and have a lot of the personnel back from a year ago. While Kieren Nichols will be the focal point for opposing teams, Coach Jeff Larson wants other guys to take up the slack as well. Larson says Ben Olson and Alex Eckart will be looked on a key contributors for the season. Olson averaged five points per game last season while Eckart had five blocks last year. Larson adds Olson is able to move out to his natural position due to the Panthers adding some size this season with move-in Spencer Hixson who measures at 6/5. Larson says additions Jaxon Zuck and Luke Keitges will add a little more depth to the team. Knoxville gets the season underway on December third against PCM, which is our debut broadcast on 95.3 KNIA.
