The Pella Fire Department has been recently featured in a statewide campaign to get drivers to move over and give space to emergency crews at the scene of a crash. The Iowa Department of Transportation highlighted the firefighters during National Traffic Incident Response Week earlier this month, with the Pella Fire Department featured in the social media campaign. The department had representatives holding a sign with #moveover, in an effort to make drivers aware of the dangers first responders encounter at the scene of a crash, especially on highways.
