The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Tuesday morning. The board continued discussions on the Warren County Justice Center Project, with Board Chair Crystal McIntyre proposing the board look at other options rather than completing the project on the downtown Indianola square.
McIntyre proposed that since the Treasurer’s and Auditor’s offices are growing, an office building should be built on the square to accommodate them and to generate the foot traffic that downtown Indianola businesses are pushing for. No official action was taken by the board, and estimates for the downtown location will be received in January. The board approved the Engineer’s Office to pre-order three dump trucks to arrive in 2021, approved the purchase of a new transport van for the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and went into closed session to discuss a request from the IT department.
