The Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad is doing a bit of a reset this season after losing several key players from the program to graduation last year. Coach Blake McWilliams tells KRLS Sports they also are going to a different style of play on both sides of the court to compensate for their lack of size. He says it is a work in progress but the players are doing well with the changes…

McWilliams:
“We’ve put in a different offense from which we ran last year just with our personnel. We have, and the kids have taken to it pretty good and they understand why we made the changes that we did with not having the height that we had last year. Defensively, we did the same thing, we’ve revamped the way we play defense this year to help with that size difference.”

The Sabers will go to more of a four out style on offense. McWilliams adds they have more guards this season and that make it easier to run a four out style of play. Twin Cedars gets the season started on Tuesday hosting Wayne.
