Massachusetts Senator and current 2020 Presidential Candidate Elizabeth Warren was in Knoxville Tuesday. Warren, who was conducting her 79th event in Iowa was in Knoxville to host town hall event at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. The event was held for committed volunteers and persuadable caucus goers to hear from Warren in a neighborhood setting. Warren tells KNIA/KRLS News her plan to pay farmers for environmental services could help reshape rural America by giving all farmers an opportunity to be leaders on repairing the planet by making it financially possible for them to do it. Warren says in doing so, the more money will be brought into rural America bring more money to small towns like Knoxville. Approximately 90 people attended the event which began with Warren being introduced by Knoxville City Council Member and former chair of the Marion County Democratic Party, Megan Suhr.
