When Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Coach Blake McWilliams was in high school, he played for his father, Brad. Now, the roles are reversed a bit as Blake is the head coach and Brad is his assistant. The two coached together last season for the Sabers and are together again, this season. Blake tells KRLS Sports he loves having is father along side to bounce ideas off of and give advice when needed.

McWilliams:
“It’s been awesome, I love having him there, he’s always had a great basketball mind. It’s great being able to bounce ideas back and forth with each other, and talking constantly this season on what we’re going to do to improve.”

Blake adds he is still learning from his father. Brad still teaches at Knoxville High School and is the head girls track and field coach. Twin Cedars gets the season started Tuesday against Wayne.
