The PCM Girls Basketball team is off to a 1-1 start to their season, with an early start before Thanksgiving. It’s a long stretch between games, as they won’t play again until Friday at Saydel. That gives the team a lot of time to work on things in practice before the bulk of the schedule gets underway. Head Coach Jeff Lindsay highlights a few key areas his team has been working on.
“We want to be better defensively, we feel that there’s always room for improvement on that end. And a lot that goes along with that that we’ve really been stressing is our communication. So there’s no confusion as to who’s got who out there and we leave the opponent open with an easy shot. Also something that we’ve stressed big-time this year has been rebounding. That was something that we didn’t do very well last year and we need to get more girls aggressive and going after the rebounds when they’re out there.”
The Mustangs will have the rest of this week to hone their skills before the conference slate begins. Friday’s game at Saydel will be broadcast on the KRLS3 stream.
