The Indianola Light Up the Square event is tonight on the downtown Indianola square. A stationary lighted parade will be set up around the square, with lighted floats parked around the fence. Indianola Chamber President and CEO Brenda Easter tells KNIA News the new celebration will allow families to walk around and view all the floats people have put hard work into, rather than just the few seconds they get to see them during the parade. In addition to the stationary lighted parade, there will be activities going on around the square, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for a visit, and participants are encouraged to bring in a non-perishable food item to donate. The Light Up the Square event will take place from 6-8pm. The KNIA Big Red Radio will be on the square playing holiday music.
