The Twin Cedars basketball squads start Bluegrass Conference play tonight with a road trip to Murray. Both Saber boys and girls are looking for their first wins of the season after dropping a double header to Wayne on Tuesday. For the boys, Coach Blake McWilliams tells KRLS Sports most of the conference teams are going to have experience coming back this season, something his young group does not have right now.

McWilliams:
“Almost every team is going to be competitive this year I think. We’re going to have tough games night in and night our, a lot of teams didn’t lose the seniors we lost last year. They’re going to be a little more experienced than we are, and we’re just hoping with game after game to improve every time out.

The girls will be battling a Murray team that finished 15-8 last year and lost five seniors to graduation. The girls game is scheduled to tip at six with the boys to follow.
