The Melcher Dallas Saints got their first win of the season Friday night, when they took on Ankeny Christian. The Saints now improve to 1-2 after the 48-17 victory.
It was a big night for freshman Destinie Swanks, who lead the team with 10 points, and 6 rebounds. Head Coach Kelsey Goff said her freshman was key to success in the matchup and will could be this season.

“Even though she’s young, she’s very talented, can get up and down the court, I can see her playing, at forward or guard, kind of wherever I need her, I look forward to having her get some of that experience.”

The Saints got another eight points each from Kacey Enfield, Haley Godfrey, and Kynser Reed.
On the defensive side of the ball, Enfield came up with 5 steals as well.

The Saints will be back on the Court, Tuesday, December 10th, on the road to take on Lamoni High School, tip-off is at 6pm.
