Local high school jazz bands will be performing at the South Central Iowa Bandmasters’ Association festival this weekend in Winterset. Pella Jazz I and PCM Jazz will both perform at the 2A/3A site, with the Mustangs starting at 9:18 a.m. and Pella at 5:05 p.m. Indianola will perform in class 4A twice at the festival, once at 8:52am in the Waukee Gym, and again at 10:36 in the Waukee Auditorium in Class 4A. The event kicks off the performance and competition season for local jazz bands. Pella Jazz I won the school’s 18th state championship in April 2019.
