After the Pella Historical Village closes for its annual winter hibernation at the end of this month, the Pella Historical Society and Museums will remain active and aim to educate the community about several topics in the month of January.

Executive Director Valerie Van Kooten says the annual Windmill Winterim classes return with five events, focusing on several activities for different age groups. Registration is required by contacting Pella Historical Society, as space is limited.

The first event will be held on Saturday, January 4th from 10 a.m. to noon, kids can learn to plant their own tulips, with participants bringing pots large enough to hold three bulbs and Pella Historical Society providing soil and tulips. The event is free for members, $5 for non members.

Four other programs will be held later in January (click for more details): Windmill-Winterim-Jan.-2020
