The United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-North/Central Region teams were released on Monday morning, and the Central goalkeeper Andrew Mathys was named to the second team.

Mathys was also a second-team all-North Region selection. It’s the first time he has been honored as a scholar all-region choice.

Maintaining a 3.33 GPA, Mathys had six solo shutouts in goal for the Dutch. He made 66 saves while facing 223 shots, registering a goals against average of 1.17. Mathys was the goalie of record in all 20 of Central’s matches, earning a 14-4-2 record.

The Dutch finished the season 14-4-2 and won the program’s first league title.
