Last Saturday Wreath Across America laid wreaths at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville during National Wreaths Across America day. Local veterans and volunteer groups came out in support to lay wreaths and to observe a special military tribute. Wreaths Across America is made possible each year by sponsors from all across the country. Marla Suter with Wreaths Across America tells KNIA/KRLS News the sponsorship program began with Arlington National Cemetery then slowly branched out until 2015 when over 350 cemeteries were sponsored and took part in the national event. The Wreaths Across America organization has already begun planning for next year as they are currently accepting sponsorship donations. Now through January 15th 2020 when someone sponsors a wreath through a fundraising group, the sponsorship will be matched by Wreaths Across America. Next year’s National Wreaths Across America Day is scheduled for Saturday, December 19th 2020. For more information click here:
