South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg hosted a town hall at Indianola High School Sunday afternoon, speaking to a packed gymnasium. Actor, director, producer, and two time Academy Award Winner Kevin Costner was present at Indianola High School, introducing and endorsing Mayor Buttigieg. Buttigieg tells KNIA News the next President will have to do a better job of uniting the country on issues that we can agree on.

“There is a lot more common ground than you would think. Most American believe that wages need to go up. Most Americans believe that we should get paid family leave like pretty much any other country has. And on issue after issue, maybe we’ve been told to vote a certain way based on how we came up or where we live, but these things are changing. Certainly from a military perspective, I think that the stronger case on national security is not being made by this President, but by other voices in the party and by veterans like myself.”
