With four state meet competitors returning to the program, there were high expectations for the Indianola wrestling team coming into the season to compete at an individual level. The success at the team level however is no surprise either, as head coach Clint Manny tells KNIA Sports the program is built from the ground up.
“I’ve known it’s been coming through the works for the last 7-8 years. I know how hard our youth program has worked, all the parents whether its dad volunteers or the mom taking their kids to these tournaments for years. I’ve known it since I’ve been in this program, I’m in my 8th season and I’ve known it since I’ve been a part of this community and I know how rich of a tradition this Indianola wrestling team has.”
The Indians start the second half of their season January 4th hosting a tournament.
