The City of Indianola Police and Fire Departments have both seen a significant increase in the amount of call volume for the year of 2019 compared to 2018. According to Indianola City Manager Ryan Waller, as of December 26th, the Indianola Fire Department has received 2,390 calls for service, 139 more than the 2018 total. The Indianola Police Department received approximately 250 calls for service weekly, totaling 12,719 calls by December 26th and is expected to reach over 13,000 for the year, with the department receiving 12,856 total calls in 2018.
