Just like the boys, the Class 4A #14 ranked Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad can boast of a few players who are among the best at scoring and other categories in the state. Katie Keitges, who became the all-time career scoring leader at Knoxville on December 10th, is second in scoring average in class 4A, scoring 26 points per game with a high of 35 against Oskaloosa on December 7th. Keitges’ teammate, Maggie Wilkins, is currently fourth in class 4A scoring 22.1 points per game. Wilkins’ season high was 26 points against Clarke on December 7th. Regardless of class Keitges is fourth in the state and Wilkins is 14th. Keitges is also 10th in class 4A in assists dealing out 35 dimes this season and she also has 33 steals on the season which puts her fourth in class 4A while Wilkins has 25 steals and is 13th in class 4A in that department. Rebounding is where Marley McKay can be found in 16th place in class 4A, grabbing a total 57 on the season. The Panthers will return to the court this Friday taking on Bondurant-Farrar in a game you can hear live on 95.3 KNIA.
