Lady Dutch Head Coach Jerod Garland says the girls were able to help package items for the Care Bags Foundation. Garland says his assistant Bret Bell brought the idea to the team for a service project, as his colleague at Madison Elementary Annie Foskett started the non-profit nearly two decades ago.
The Care Bags Foundation provides essential and comforting items to displaced, abused, and disadvantaged children worldwide.
Pella returns to action at home Tuesday against Newton, a boys-girls twin bill that can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
