Knoxville’s Norah Pearson has been nominated for the Des Moines Register Sports Awards Cross Country Runner of the Year. Pearson, who finished fifth at the 4A State Cross Country Meet this fall in her freshman season, plus broke numerous school records along the way, will join other cross country runners around the state vying for the award which will be awarded at the dinner in June. Pearson is currently on the Knoxville girls basketball squad coming off the bench.
