The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening. Mayor Kelly Shaw announced that Greta Southall was appointed as Mayor Pro Tem, and will conduct meetings in his absence. The council discussed appointments to boards and commissions, with the council giving direction to city staff to try and find a way to get all appointments to be on a uniform date rather than spread around the year, approved sewer repair, and set a public hearing date for the Quail Meadows Lift Station.The council also received presentations on the budget from Chief Financial Officer Andy Lent, and on the Missouri Valley Line project before going into closed session to discuss labor negotiations.
