The Melcher-Dallas Saints have a double header of hoops on the road tonight when they travel to Murray High School. While hosting Murray Last week, the boys fell 87-49 and the girls got the win 38-22.
In the Bluegrass Conference for the boys, Murray basketball is 8-2 and sitting in second place of the conference and the Saints are in 6th with a 4-6 record. The girls however are in 7th right underneath the Saints with a 4-7 record to the Saints’ 5-6.
Head Coach Kelsey Goff says the team’s defense will be a big part of their game plan going into the rematch against Murray.
“We’ll just keep playing our good defense I guess because we got them kind of rattled there where we were getting our tips in and hands in the passing lane and knocking the ball out so we could take off and run and get some easy buckets so just continue to play that defense and hopefully our shots fall down there”
The girls game will tip off first at 6pm, with the boys following.
