Next week the Knoxville Public Library will host artist Kim DeSocio as the library looks for input and design ideas for their new mural project. DeSocio was awarded the first grant for Public Art at the library by the Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation earlier this year. Ms. DeSocio painted the original mural at the library in 2006 and again wants input from residents as to what should be featured in the new mural. Ms. DeSocio will be at the library on Monday, January 20th, Tuesday the 21st, and Wednesday the 22nd to visit with the public and get input on design ideas.
