The Indianola Chamber of Commerce held its annual dinner at the Kent Campus Center on the Simpson College campus Thursday evening, honoring local citizens and groups for their efforts to grow Indianola in 2019. The awards presented by the chamber included:

Steven G. Pfeifer Volunteer of the Year – Rick Wilson
Educator of the Year – Kathryn Nailor
Distinguished Chamber Leader – Seth Lampman and Nick Carda
Emerging Business – BnB Boutique

Chamber President and CEO Brenda Easter tells KNIA News one of the great things about the annual dinner is that it allows those who attend to connect with other local business leaders, whether they are friends or just meeting for the first time, and share their experiences over the past year. Easter also said all the nominations for the awards made it hard to choose who would win, but that is a good thing for our community.
