The Indianola City Council received the bids on the Water Resource Recovery Facility at their meeting Tuesday evening, with the bids coming back at a full project cost of $45.6 million, $7.2 million more than originally projected. If the bid is accepted by the council, a rate increase of $12.40 per month for an average residential monthly bill with 4,000 gallons is anticipated to help fund the project. The council will hold a public hearing on February 4th on the financing of the project, and the council will consider approval of the contract to construct the facility.
