With the early retirement applications for the Indianola School District due by Friday for all employees, the district has had a significant amount of participation. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News 22 teachers, 11 support staff members, and one member of the administration staff have filed for early retirement, all of which will be replaced for the 2020-21 school year. Sathoff also said that while Friday is technically the deadline to apply, he does not anticipate any more applications as the bonuses for early applications no longer apply.
