Thrive Knoxville held their first Town Talk event Wednesday evening at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. A crowd of approximately 75 people attended the event to learn more about the Knoxville Schools Facilities Project which was the feature of the Town Talk. A video was played for attendees which featured Chris Nichols with the School Facilities Tasks Force explaining the project in a more in-depth format. Following the video, audience members were able to ask questions to all 24 members of the Task Force. As questions were asked and answered Nichols continued to reiterate how the project was decided on, and why it is needed. On March 3rd, the Knoxville community will be voting on a General Obligation Bond to finance a new middle school and renovations at the high school and Northstar Elementary.
