Pella Community Ambulance held the first annual Blood Battle Blood Drive on Thursday. The group reports that 36 registered donors helped save or sustain 87 lives through LifeServe, including 12 first time donors. Pella Ambulance won the “traveling” trophy, with 16 donors choosing the service over the Pella Police Department, Pella Fire Department, and Pella Regional E.R. in a friendly competition.
