As February begins a lot of attention continues to be focused on Iowa’s current legislative session. Iowa State Representative Jon Thorup tells KNIA/KRLS News some of the areas he has been focused on in his second year as a Representative include working on bills involving traffic cameras and the issuance of citations from the cameras, funding for investigations involving child pornography, as well as the federal tax ability of the Federal Civil Serivice Retirement System. A special Town Hall event featuring Representative Thorup and State Senator Amy Sinclair will be held Saturday, February 15th at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum at 12:30 p.m. The event will allow residents to ask questions as well as learn more about this year’s legislative session.
