The Indianola girls and boys basketball teams host Dallas Center-Grimes in a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader. The Indians girls continue to attempt to keep pace with undefeated Grinnell in conference play, and will have to try and follow up with one of their biggest wins of the season after taking down the Fillies 47-41 at the beginning of January. The Indians boys dealt the Mustangs their first defeat of the season in the first matchup between the squads, sending DCG into a tailspin where they have lost four of their last eight games since a 7-0 start. Head coach Brett Watson tells KNIA Sports after a week with a pair of close contests on the road, being back on familiar turf will be good.

“DCG is very very talented, but thankfully we will be back home for it. It was a long week of away games in the Tulip City, but it will be nice to be back on the home court. DCG will be fired up, they are well coached, and they have good guards, but we have to get back to work and get prepared.”

The games can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6pm, with tip-off scheduled for 6:15pm.
