The PCM girls basketball team fell in a road contest to Carlisle Monday evening in girls only action. The Mustangs could not overcome a slow start, and fell by the final count of 58-28. Despite a relatively even second quarter, the scoring margin was heavily in Carlisle’s favor the rest of the way.

Sierra Foster was the only Mustang in double figures, with 14 points. With the loss, PCM falls to 8-10 overall. Things don’t get any easier for the Mustangs, as they turn right around to host Roland-Story, the fifth-ranked team in Class 3A, on Tuesday in conference action. Senior Regan Freland says it’s important to have high spirits against tough teams on their schedule, and focus on the opportunity to compete.

The girls-boys varsity doubleheader between PCM and Roland-Story tips off at 6:00 p.m. at PCM High School.
