The PCM basketball teams hosted Roland-Story Tuesday evening in Heart of Iowa Conference action. The fifth-ranked girls team in Class 3A proved to be too much for PCM to handle, as the Mustangs fell by a 53-36 final. A 19-8 Roland-Story lead after one was enough to put the game away, as the teams largely traded blows the rest of the way. Regan Freland led the way with 14 points. PCM falls to 8-11 overall and 6-6 in the conference.

The PCM boys kept things close throughout the first three quarters, and held a 39-37 lead after three. But an 18-8 scoring advantage for the Norsemen in the fourth was enough to give them the 55-47 victory. PCM falls to 11-7 overall and 7-5 in the conference.

Up next the Mustangs will head to South Hamilton on Friday evening for another Heart of Iowa Conference tilt.
