A Knoxville woman was arrested on multiple drug related charges following a traffic stop Friday. According to court documents, law enforcement officers made a traffic stop near Ken Locke Stadium in Knoxville just before 11 p.m. Friday. The driver of the vehicle, 52-year-old Susan Beals of Knoxville asked officers to retrieve her drivers license from a different vehicle. At the second vehicle Beals began looking through her purse for her ID when officers observed a clear plastic baggie in her purse containing a crystalline substance. Beals was placed under arrest. Officers searched the purse and found a pill identified as Sildenafil Citrate 100 mg, a prescription drug. The crystalline substance found in Beals purse field tested positive for methamphetamine. Beals was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, 3rd or subsequent offense, a class D felony as well as unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor.
