The PCM Mustangs will head to Gilbert tonight for a Heart of Iowa Conference match up with the Tigers. The PCM girls will look for their first win against the Tigers since January of 2017. It could be a tough task for the Mustangs as the Gilbert girls come in ranked 9th in class 4A and handled PCM with ease in December in a 57-37 win in Monroe. Head PCM Girls Basketball Coach, Jeff Lindsey tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his team is using tonight’s game to prepare for postseason play. Lindsey say the outcome wont effect who they play so his team is going to work on things and get ready for Saturday.
In the boys contest PCM will look to slow down a Gilbert squad that just put up over a hundred points in a game on Friday at Nevada. PCM was able to slow the Tigers to just 71 points in their first meeting in December, but will need to improve on their 46 point output in that game to have any chance at a victory tonight. The Mustangs and Tigers will tip things off tonight from Gilbert High School with the girls game first at 6 p.m.
