pleasantville-3

The Pleasantville basketball teams were on the road at ACGC Monday night in a makeup conference doubleheader. The Trojan girls were unable to bounce back from a slow start, and fell by a final count of 56-33. Pleasantville was outscored 11-2 in the first quarter to set the tone. The teams mostly traded buckets in a higher-scoring second quarter, but the Chargers held Pleasantville to just five points in the third and coasted the rest of the way. Pleasantville drops to 8-12 overall and 3-10 in the conference.

The Pleasantville boys picked up a victory in a close one, 62-59. That puts the Trojans back above .500 at 10-9 overall and 8-7 in the West Central Conference.

Both teams will be back in action Tuesday evening, hosting Van Meter in another conference doubleheader. The Trojans will be looking for revenge after falling in a sweep in their trip to Van Meter in January.
