The Pella Community School District is in the process of finding a new High School Activities Director. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says at this week’s meeting, the Pella School Board accepted the resignation of Dale Otte, who has served in the role since 2011. Ebeling says while they would like a high school activities director that can continue to some extent the success of athletics and fine arts programs in school, the goal is for a leader to help mold coaches and teachers to lead young people regardless of wins and losses. Ebeling says there will be strong consideration of both internal and external candidates, with a vetting process to narrow the pool to a handful of select individuals in early March, with several in-person interviews planned.
