The season came to an end for the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad on Friday as the Sabers lost to Lynnville-Sully in round one of the class 1A regional 58-to-24. The Sabers held an early lead in the first quarter, and fell behind by 13 at the half, but the third quarter was where the Hawks landed the knockout punch with Twin Cedars only scoring two during that eight minute span. Kaya DesPlanque scored 11 points to lead the Sabers. Twin Cedars finishes the season at 5-18. The Twin Cedars boys fell to Sigourney 54-44 as Devin Arkema scored 23 points in the loss.
