The Pleasantville wrestling team hosted Class 1A District action Saturday afternoon, with six Trojan wrestlers competing for spots at the state tournament. Only one Trojan made the cut, as Matthew Kauffman at 285 placed 2nd, scoring 14 team points for Pleasantville. Devon Luing, Trevor Nickel, Kitt Lundy, Jacob Hiemstra, and Alex Swanson all competed, but were not able to advance.

Kauffman will compete at next week’s state wrestling tournament, which is scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
