The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad likely has one of the toughest openers in the class 1A district basketball this week. The Saints travel to Ankeny Christian to battle the Eagles. While ACA is not the offensive power that it was a few seasons ago averaging nearly 100 points per game, the Eagles are still a formidable team. Saints Coach Jim Wells tells KNIA Sports hopes his team sticks to the game plan and comes out like they did in their win over Wayne last Friday.

Wells:
“As long as we share the basketball on offense and block out on defense, I guess we’ll see THursday on how that will go. They have been working hard in practice and have a positive attitude and their fun to work with.”

The Saints play the second game of a double header with tip off at 8:00pm.
