With the contract and rezoning for the Quail Meadows Lift Station approved by the Indianola City Council, the addition of 50 new homes that will be served by the lift station continues. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the area north of Hillcrest Ave behind the Indianola YMCA has been targeted for growth, and this type of development will be a boost to the city.

“We’ve done a number of infrastructure improvements to make sure we can handle that growth in that area. It’s called Quail Meadows Subdivision, the developer is Phil Steger who has done other housing units in that vicinity. It’s around 50 homes, which is a nice number, and the average value of the homes is expected to be $350,000 and up.”
Waller also said adding this type of growth helps the entire community by adding more taxpayers to the area. A construction estimate plans for the project to begin this spring.
