The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad got off to an 0-3 start to the season. The Saints changed up the offense a bit to go from a half court game to more of an uptempo style of play. Coach Jim Wells tells KNIA Sports that paid off right away winning three of their next four right before the Christmas break.

Wells:
“I think we changed the offense with pushing the ball up the floor and going up tempo, we began the season in halfcourt offenses and it just wasn’t working out for us. I think when we started ;pushing the ball up the court started scoring a lot more and playing better defense.”

The Saints ended the season last week with a record of 10-12.
