The Warren County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the Warren County Justice Center this morning, discussing the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated total project cost. The base bids for the project came back at slightly under $28 million, but additional add ons for the construction including an approximate extra 9-10 thousand square feet in the basement that would cost $650K, a mechanism for keeping snow and ice out of the secure entryway for $71K, and A/V equipment for the Iowa Court System that would cost $634K, but would be reimbursed to the county at an approximate 85-90% rate. The public hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30am in the boardroom in the Warren County Administration Building.
