One of the key improvements for the Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad this season, especially late was defense. In the last seven games, the Sabers give up no more than 60 points in any game. Coach Blake McWilliams tells KRLS Sports his guys were usually in the right place and had a body on their opponent to get key rebounds
McWilliams:
“Defensively we were so much better at the end of the year as far as talking and where we needed to be to help each other out. In turn that helps out when rebounding the basketball being in the right place and getting a body on somebody.”
The Sabers ended the season four-and-18. McWilliams hopes to keep the defense where it is at and pick up where it left off at the end of the season.
